“This property has been slipping down over the years. Rooms are getting old and not kept up. Tiles in the bathroom chipped. Dirty tissues laying on the floor at the bed post. Dusted on the high spots. Met cleaning crew getting on the elevator as we got off. They left the cleanig cart in middle of the hallway. The cleaning cart had the rooms master key attached to a neck lanyard sitting on top in plain view. I could have taken it and entered every room. Serious safety issue. No streetlights in...

“It was run down. Dirty. No office staff on weekends. Partying all night. Didn't get any sleep. Doors slamming and screaming and hollering. Security guard checked us in then they're gone. Went to indoor pool. Going up ramp outside trash laying around. Then beer cans sitting on railing. Startled in door a couple was on each other like fixing to have sex. So we left. This was like 7 pm. We went back to room and the party had started again in our building so we packed and left. We stayed Friday...

“The value for the money of this place was excellent. You have to pay a small fee for access to the Big Canoe amenities, but it was well worth it. Be aware, this is a cabin-like place in the woods. There are spiders, and lots of them. One or two may even get into your cabin or spin a web on your car. Just remember that you are in their home and you'll be okay. Wifi is spotty at best.”

“There were several maintenance issues. The faucet at the kitchen sink spewed water when turned on. The upstairs bathroom door would lock but not "latch" when closed. The hot and cold water was "reversed" in the sinks. The air-conditioning didn't work in the basement. The air-conditioning would not stay set on our selection for upstairs, this was a issue with being in the 90's outside. Other than these maintenance issues it's a great property with fantastic views.”
